Disclaimer & Terms
Plain English, no fine-print games. Read this before you start the course — it tells you exactly what this program is, what it is not, and what we can and cannot promise you.
1 Earnings disclaimer
We do not guarantee that you will make any money. Not a dollar. This course teaches you a skill and a process. What you do with it is up to you.
Any numbers you see — in the lessons, on the sales page, in screenshots, in case studies, in student stories — are illustrations of what has been possible for some people, not a prediction of what will happen for you. Results are not typical. Most people who buy an online course never finish it, and people who never finish never earn.
Your results depend on things nobody here controls: how much work you put in, your niche, your audience, your country and its payout eligibility, your timing, the current state of the platform, and plain luck. Assume your result will be $0 unless and until you prove otherwise with your own effort.
Do not spend money you cannot afford to lose, and do not quit a job, take on debt, or make any other financial commitment based on anything taught in this course.
2 Educational only — not professional advice
Everything in this course is educational and informational. It is not financial advice, not investment advice, not legal advice, not tax advice, and not accounting advice. We are not your accountant, your attorney, or your financial advisor, and no student-instructor relationship here creates one.
Money you earn from creator programs, brand deals, affiliate commissions or tips is generally taxable income, and in the U.S. it is usually self-employment income — which can mean quarterly estimated payments, 1099 forms, and self-employment tax. How that works for you depends on your situation and your state.
Talk to a licensed CPA or tax professional before you assume anything about your taxes, and to a licensed attorney before you sign a brand contract, form a business entity, or take on any legal obligation. It is worth the consultation fee.
3 Platform rules change — always check the app
Creator payout programs are moving targets. Rates per thousand views, minimum follower and view thresholds, country eligibility, video length requirements, content rules, payout minimums and withdrawal methods change often, sometimes with little notice, and they can differ from one account to another.
Anything specific in these lessons — a rate, a threshold, a program name, a menu path — was accurate when the lesson was recorded and may already be out of date. Treat it as the shape of the thing, not the current numbers.
Before you make any decision, confirm the current terms inside the app itself and on the platform's own official help pages. The app is the source of truth. This course is not.
4 No affiliation with TikTok or ByteDance
Creator Payout Academy is an independent educational product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance Ltd., or by any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. Nobody at TikTok reviewed, approved or partnered on this course.
"TikTok" and all related names, logos and marks are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only for identification and description — nominative fair use. The same goes for any other platform, brand or product mentioned in the lessons.
We cannot influence any decision the platform makes about your account, your content, your program eligibility or your payouts. If your account is restricted or your application is denied, that is between you and the platform.
5 Affiliate disclosure (FTC)
Some links in this course or in our emails may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them — at no extra cost to you. We only recommend tools we would use ourselves, and a commission never changes what we teach.
This applies to you too. If you use affiliate links in your own content, U.S. law requires you to disclose it. Under the FTC's Endorsement Guides, your disclosure must be:
- Clear and in plain language — "I earn a commission if you buy through my link," not a vague "#sp" or "thanks to my partners."
- Unavoidable — visible without tapping "more," not buried at the end of a caption or hidden in a wall of hashtags.
- On the content itself — a spoken mention plus on-screen text is the safest combo for video. A bio disclosure alone is not enough.
- Used for gifted products and sponsorships too, not just paid links.
You are responsible for your own compliance — with the FTC, with the platform's branded content rules, and with the laws of your country. When in doubt, over-disclose.
